Fear Culture
Tacumah is a reggae band from Donostia (Basque Country) Culture” and also uses the Showcase format, and which is created in 2008 as a union between various Jamaican music enthusiasts.

From the beginning, its main aim was to revitalise the roots reggae and dub sounds from the 70s and 80s. In order to do so, paying great attention to the essential bands of that golden period such as Revolutionaries, The Professionals or The Aggrovators, Tacumah has put great effort into always maintain- ing a solid group of about 10 musicians, including also a vocal trio which evokes the marvellous Jamaican closed harmonies of legendary groups like The Abyssinians, Mighty Diamonds, The Meditations, The Gladiators or The Heptones.

After producing by themselves several songs during the 2010-2012 period, the group then travelled repeatedly to Roberto Sanchez's recording studio in Santander, the A-Lone Ark Music Studio, to lay down its first LP entitled “Showcase”, which came out in 2014 on the Truthtown label based in Donostia. Now, in 2020, the band presents its second album, which is called “Fear Culture" co-produced and mixed by Roberto Sánchez and published on his A-Lone Productions label.

A clear and bold community message intertwines with the music in each and every one of this Basque group's songs, clearly influenced by the produc- tions of Augustus Pablo, Yabby You, Channel One and Bunny Lee, among other cornerstones of the roots reggae sound.

Tacumah has shared the stage with many local and foreign groups, in uncountable concert halls and festivals, as well as with living legends of the mythical Jamaican reggae scene, such as Lee Perry, Michael Prophet, Winston Francis or Linval Thompson, to name but a few.

Word, sound and power!
