Great Guitar Hits By Link Wray And His Raymen

This release contains Link Wray’s magnificent and long unavailable second album, Great Guitar Hits, originally released by the Vermillion label in 1962. It is probably Wray’s most obscure LP, but also one of his finest. As had previously occurred with his self-titled long play debut (Epic 1960), this second album was a slapped-together affair, combining sides from some of Wray’s early singles for the Epic and Cadence labels with half a dozen other numbers. This underrated treasure compiles 12 rough instrumentals, which were recorded during Wray’s most inspired period and demonstrate just how raw, vital, and outright dangerous rock & roll could sound. In addition to the original masterpiece, this special remastered collector’sedition also contains 4 bonus tracks consisting of hard to find sides from the same period.
