‘A Change Must Come’ is the title of this new 7″ featuring one of the best ever jamaican voices: Mr. Ken Boothe.
This 45 features two Rocksteady/Reggae stompers. On the A side we can find the great Ken Booth singing a superb Tasty Goove’s tune which remind us some this jamaican artist best interpretations from the early 70′s, with powerful social lyrics.
On the flip side there is a new Tasty Grooves track called ‘Better Than Nothing’, absolutely great, interpretated by Marc Ibarz, lead singer and guitar player from this soulful reggae band from Madrid.
Mr. Ken Boothe is one of the best ever jamaican foundational artists, both by his absolutely great voice and for his unique feeling. Born in Kingston, Jamaica, in 1948, has been oftely compared to Wilson Pickett ond could perfectly fit in the Tamla Motown label.
He released a number of hits under Coxsone Dodd's Studio One laber in the 60's and 70's and also working with producers like Sonia Pottinger, Leslie Kong and Beverly's. Ken Boothe classics are songs like: ‘The Girl I Left Behind’, ‘When I Fall In Love’, ‘I Don't Wanna See You Cry’ o ’Puppet On A String’, 'Freedom Street', ‘Everything I Own’, ‘Crying Over You’ or 'Is It Because I'm Black'.
