Glen Ricks was The Fabulous Flames singer. He met them in 1968 during a tour in Canada, where Glen was living after having emigrated from Jamaica as a child, with a notorious talent as dancer and singer. Glen moved then to Jamaica for joining the band and they recorded the massive hit with the single ‘Holly Holy / Kingston Town’ for Clancy Eccles in 1969. The Fabulous Flames were active until the mid 70's when Rick started his solo career. He went back to Canada, where he earned some popularity, signing with CBS and starting playing often in Chicago's and Filadelfia's Should circuits.

Glen Ricks, with his Soul singer skills, has just recorded new Rock Steady and Soulful Reggae stuff (and a bit of Ska as well) for Liquidator label produced by Linval Thompson and Roberto Sánchez, releasing this wonderful single with original and brand new stuff: a Soul Reggae tune in the A side plus a Rock Steady in the flip that you shouldn't miss.
