You Give Me Fever

SOWETO started as a traditional ska & rocksteady band in 1998 (Barcelona) under the influence of black music in general and Jamaican 50`s.60`s and 70`s in particular. After years of working hard and playing all over Spain the band started to be well known and considerate in the ska & rocksteady circuit and decided to go to studio to record their first maxi cd (2006-Silver Bullets- Brixton Records sublabel) also edited in vinyl version .This 4 tracks record was a great experience for them, because it was very apreciated by traditional ska followers.and also brought them the possibility to play in different european cities and be well known because their powerfull live shows.

'You Give Me Fever' was the debut album from this great ska & rocksteady band from Barcelona. Like in the golden era of Jamaican music, this album will make you dance, feel, and enjoy the real ska ridimm.

Soweto`s original songs will take you to the best traditional 50`s & 60`s tunes of Jamaica. And track after track you can taste different flavours, but all through the same sources, specialized reggae musicians playing the same music that they enjoy listening, going deep into the roots of reggae and making this record a very special gift for the old school ska, soul, and reggae fans.

And as special guest youll find in this great album the legendary BB Seaton from The Gaylads - singing two Jamaican classics.
