Ken Boothe

Mr. Ken Boothe is one of the best ever jamaican foundational artists, both by his absolutely great voice and for his unique feeling. Born in Kingston, Jamaica, in 1948, has been oftely compared to Wilson Pickett ond could perfectly fit in the Tamla Motown label. He released a number of hits under Coxsone Dodd’s Studio One laber in the 60’s and 70’s and also working with producers like Sonia Pottinger, Leslie Kong and Beverly’s. Ken Boothe classics are songs like: ‘The Girl I Left Behind’, ‘When I Fall In Love’, ‘I Don’t Wanna See You Cry’ o ’Puppet On A String’, ‘Freedom Street’, ‘Everything I Own’, ‘Crying Over You’ or ‘Is It Because I’m Black’.
