The Fishska, single 7″ available

The Fishska was formed in late 1997 in Bekasi, West Java, Indonesia.
They have been an active part within the Indonesian underground’s grass roots scene.

In 2023 they released a second album, ‘Banned In Jakarta’. Two songs in that album are now released by Liquidator Music: ‘Johny’s Whiney’ and ‘Confession Of A Skinhead’. Both songs have 60’s style skinhead reggae.

‘Confession Of A Skinhead’ is based on their experience as young teenage skinheads back in the day. It talks about the cliche of loyalty within the scene, which ended up in a story of betrayal and deceit. ‘Johny’s Whiney’ is more of a working class protest satire, striking on the poor performance of their government.
